Fabfilter twin velocitu4/30/2023 The one ctrl button on the macbook pro is pretty much impossible to reach whilst using the mouse with your left hand. Only a couple of small issues I found that need ironing out:įine tuning is really difficult for left handed people, especially laptop users, mac specifically. Very pleased with it indeed - some beautiful patches included too! Additionally, the envelopes deliver plenty of punch. Its the virtual oberheim I've been waiting for. ![]() The features are brilliant too - so flexible what you can do with keyboard follow and voice options. Love the sound - warm, vintage, and very Oberhiem indeed. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that I think this synth is brilliant. I wish they'll release a new version of Origin someday, with both a touch screen and a lower price. Origin BTW is a great product, especially since it seems to differ (in a positive way) from their stereotyped TAE sound. Well, sorry to hijack this thread on Arturia once again. Great things are coming from Berlin, for sure. The "Minimoog" part of this plug had been ordered by Mr. If you wait for a few weeks and if you've got some cash then, Urs Heckmann, the german developper of Zebra2, will release a beta version of his new amazing soft synth called Diva, which intends to mimic the electronic components of many synths of the past. The sound, the modulation capabilities, the workflow and the overall clever engineering conception of those tools (GUI and so on) are the most important parameters for me. I'm just an electroacoustic composer who loves its tools, may they be expensive (e.g. Thanks Wolfkay! those look really cool, already watched the first 12 You're welcome Evan.īTW, I'm no way affiliated to U-He products such as Zebra2 tutt maybe I should just get one of these or a DSI Mopho or something. ![]() ![]() They might not sound exactly like the hardware, but for soft synths, I think they sound the closest so far.Īlthough, when I listened to the guy that posted those SEM videos of the real thing- THAT sounds really good. I just like listening to the Arturia models, to me they just sound good, and I don't know what the hell they did. I think sometimes Zebra 2 and FabFilter twin were pretty nice here and there and you can really tweak them, but the sounds just kinda sound hollow or empty and it took me a lot of time to try to get them to sound awesome. I've found that the ones that have the most magic for me are the Arturia models, (especially the Moog Modular) and then Sylenth sounds pretty good as well. I watched some videos and listened to samples comparing the Arturia models with the real thing, and the real thing always sounds way better. After reading all your posts about how they don't sound like the synthesizers they are modeled after, it's kind of disappointing. The oscillators have a smoothness and thickness I don't hear in other soft synths. After trying out a bunch of soft synths the last couple days, I still think the arturia plugins sound the best.
